I went with two other male friends to re-visit Grenada - after being away for 25 years. Zofia set us up with a house keeper, and a rental car. We were met at the airport and escorted right to the house. We had some simple groceries pre-ordered and they were ready for us in the fridge, so we have a beautiful lunch on the veranda, after our red-eye from NYC. The house is open air, simple and the perfect place to read your book, enjoy the spectacular view, swim, take morning walks and kick back. There is a American style grocery in Grand Anse, so in one trip we stocked up the fridge, the bar and the cooler. We made breakfast and lunch most days and some nights cooked on the BBQ. Great restaurants are close by and it is an easy trip into St. George or north around the island. Driving is an adventure - not because you are on the other side of the road, but because most of the better restaurants we went to are on roads that are dirt ruts, and you ask yourself over and over, is this really the way? The breeze was great - so we never put on the AC at night. The house is very open, so you have to get used to some critters at night, but its no big deal. The neighbor hood is gated, and we felt very safe, but you never really feel unsafe anywhere in Grenada. Internet access allowed us to check email, search for meals, etc (although we tried not to), This was so much better than a hotel, I'm reluctant to tell others about it, least it not be available next time we want to go. No high drama, nightclubs, churches or museums... just a perfect week to restore, relax and revive, in the comfort of your own home away from home, on one of the most beautiful islands in the world.

Fantastic!!! We traveled to Herons Flight from Vancouver, Canada. We arrived to Grenada to attend family wedding and simply relax. At the Villa we especially appreciated the privacy and seclusion and feeling to be at home. Much better than a hotel! Always having clean clothes awaiting for us thanks to Gillian extraordinary help. Very much enjoyed stargazing at night from the patio, snorkeling in the Ocean and playing in the pool. We will have a lasting memories of our stay at Heron's Flight. Small, cute houseguests-lizards, tree frogs sounds, the rollercoaster ride that is diving... Advice for the future guests? Don’t worry about the clock, relax and enjoy the Villa and Grenada. Thank you very much for letting us stay here. The views are amazing and best enjoyed from the pool. Everyone made us feel right at home. Heron's Flight is fantastic.

We travelled from Cambridge, England to Herons Flight. We came to Grenada to recharge our batteries and enjoy the uncommercialised island. At Herons Flight we appreciated everything! In Grenada we enjoyed river tubing, sea adventures, the ferry to Carriacou, the catamaran to the under water sculptures. We are taking home lasting memories of being lazy and enjoying it! Our stay was All Fabulous!

We have just returned from our stay at Heron's flight. I can only try and put into words the most wonderful time we had. The villa surpassed our expectations. Gillian, the housekeeper was waiting patiently for us. Our arrival took longer than we thought. Our first impressions even though it was dark was "wow, what a place," the bedrooms were spacious, the rest of the house felt cool because it is open to the sea-breezes. I must admit the first thing we all did (after my husband downed a cold Carib beer, left by Gillian) was to jump in the pool! The week was spent exploring the island. Beautiful deserted beaches, waterfalls, the rain forest. Everywhere we went we were greeted with smiles and greetings. Many of the people obviously do not have much money but we were never harassed, a polite "no thank you" was enough. The weather was perfect and what bliss it was to return to the villa and all have a cooling swim. We ate in quite often because the setting of the villa was so beautiful that we were unwilling to get dressed up and leave it. Often we would pick up "jerk chicken" by the wayside and my husband became an expert cocktail maker. I also took my two sons and a granddaughter on holiday. My ganddaghter who didn't swim discovered snorkelling in the pool and open sea over the coral reef! We fell in love with the island and its people. Thanks to Zofia to her help and advice before the holiday. The villa was perfect, great amenities and the photos on the website do not do it justice. Only when you get there and see for yourself the panorama, feel the sea-breezes and sit having cocktails by the pool do you realise that "yes, you have found a slice of paradise!"

We traveled to Heron's Flight from snowy Washington DC. We came to Heron's Flight to experience living in the Caribbean, not in a hotel or resort--mission accomplished! Better than imagined !!.

The house is beautiful, very relaxing with the best view imaginable. We wouldnt risk going to any other villa. How can you improve a pool with a view out of travel magazine and steps away from your own private beach?

I appreciated Gillian's (housekeeper) service and cheerful conversations with her. We will have a lasting memories of lazy lounging aroud the pool and hearing the surf. We also enjoyed traveling and exploring around the beautiful Island.

Thank you Heron's Flight.

Heron's Flight Villa was an excellent choice for my long awaited vacation. The villa is located in a truly upscale area of Grenada, just 15 minutes away from world famous Grand Anse. Heron's Flight is a very peaceful place. I loved the tranquillity, simplicity, and amazing views. The Villa has a brilliant architectural design - semi open areas allow nature to blend and create an unusual climate. I have stayed in the "Blue Room", with a spectacular view of Westerhall peninsular and the ocean. The room was spacious - very clean and comfortable. The king size bed ensured a good night's sleep, along with falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves. Good quality linens and towels was definitely a nice touch. The outside living/entertainment area was also comfortable with a cosy swimming pool surrounded with colourful plants and flowers. You can lay there on a comfortable cushioned chase long and enjoy splendid view and refreshing ocean breeze. I especially loved my afternoon naps in the hammock in the shade of the gazebo. The small, black sand beach below the garden is just perfect for an easy swim - and pretty good snorkelling too.

The property of Heron's Flight is spacious and very well maintained. There are lots of birds, including hummingbirds, and butterflies, feeding on bougainvilleas and oleanders. During my stay, I enjoyed fresh mangoes from the garden, and even made my own lime squash with limes right from the trees!

I was thrilled to see the kitchen was so well equipped, with good quality pots and pans, nice dishes and all the tools - even a coffee grinder and French press. And the internet never failed.
I appreciated the serenity of Heron's Flight, and the unlimited privacy and affordability.

Having a car was very helpful for exploring this beautiful island, and the owner helped me with that.
All in all, Heron's Flight is a very magic, relaxing place to spend a holiday. It is a real home away from home, where you can have a morning coffee on a patio still in your pyjamas... I would recommend Heron's Flight to anyone who is looking for tranquillity and quality and appreciate privacy.

We came to Heron's Flight, Grenada to slowing down, sailing and diving. We are family of four, including to early teenage girls. At Heron's Flight, we appreciated the view, private pool, private master bedroom, cranking reggae music on CD player and excellent housekeeping. We enjoyed here many activitiesand most of them were : SVG flight to Carriacou and sailung to Pettit Saint Vincent and Pettit Martinique, Belmont Estate tour, diving with Aquanauts and dinning at La Sagesse and Le Phare Blue. As of tips for future Guests... just drive careful. Enjoy your private beach. Heron's Flight has the best view around and Valarie, the manager is just great. We will have long lasting memories of Family time at Heron's Flight.

As two men vacationing in the caribbean, a warm welcome isn't always guaranteed. However, any concerns we had were allayed with some reassurance from Zofia, the owner. She was also generally helpful, giving useful tips on eating out, things to do, as well as arranging for us to have some basic provisions in the villa on our arrival. Jerry also called after we arrived to make sure that all was well with us.

On arrival at the villa we were met by Valerie, the manager. She was charming and delightful. We knew instantly that we were going to have a wonderful stay at the villa. She showed us around the property and explained exactly what she thought we should know regarding the overall operation of things. We settled in and immediately felt at home. The next day Valerie called to check on us and we arranged to have her shop and prepare dinner for us for a night later in the week. We invited her to join us for dinner and she accepted our invitation. What a marvelous evening we had! She cooked us a delicous local meal and regaled us with stories about the island.

The view of the sea from the Blue Room was spectacular. We had breakfast each morning on the veranda and loved the swishing of the trees around the house, accompanied by the sound of mangoes dropping on the roof as we sipped our coffee (grab one before the birds do).

Another daily ritual was drinks by the pool in the evening before we went to dinner. Staring at the sea, the lovely plants and flowers that surrounded the property helped to create the kind of vacation that we all dream of having in the tropics. Heron's Flight is appropriately named. We enjoyed the heron flying by and it's beauty was only surpassed by our tranquil state of mind which was acquired during our stay.

Restaurants were easily accessible and quite good but, do give Patrick's a miss. If you are seeking good Grenadian food - BB's Crabback down by the Carenage is far more likely to please. A rental car is a definite must although driving at night takes a little getting used to. If something more upscale appeals, then Le Phare Bleu is excellent for great food (loved the locally made goats cheese salad) and you can't fail to enjoy a coffee after your meal served on the top deck in the balmy breeze while admiring the stars.

Grenada is now at the top of our list of island spots having nudged Barbados into second place. This means a revisit soon to Grenada and this also means a revisit to Heron's Flight.
